Brass bushings are sliding bearing components made with copper-zinc alloy as the core material. Their performance can be optimized by adjusting the proportions of trace elements such as lead, tin, aluminum, and iron according to the working conditions, resulting in extremely strong wear resistance.

Simultaneously, brass has a low coefficient of friction, which significantly reduces mechanical friction loss when in close contact with the shaft, effectively reducing equipment wear and greatly extending the overall service life of mechanical equipment. It is suitable for heavy-duty operating scenarios in metallurgy, construction machinery, and general machinery.

II. Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance, Suitable for Complex Working Environments

Brass bushings possess excellent chemical stability. The zinc content in their composition gives them excellent rust prevention, oxidation prevention, and corrosion resistance. Compared to ordinary iron bushings, brass bushings are less prone to rust, oxidation, and aging under complex working conditions such as humidity and outdoor exposure, maintaining stable structural performance.

III. Balanced Mechanical Properties, Stable Load-Bearing Capacity, and Outstanding Toughness

Brass bushings combine the advantages of high strength and high toughness, exhibiting balanced and stable mechanical properties. Conventional brass bushings have a tensile strength exceeding 390 MPa, while modified high-strength brass bushings can surpass 750 MPa.

IV. Excellent Machinability, Adaptable to Precision Customization Needs

Brass is highly malleable and possesses excellent machinability. Free from excessively hard impurities, it is resistant to chipping and deformation during machining, easily enabling various precision machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling, grooving, and polishing. Whether it’s a standard cylindrical bushing or a custom-designed structure with flanges, oil grooves, oil holes, or keyways, it can be precisely machined, resulting in a high-smoothness, burr-free finish.

Furthermore, brass bushings are highly adaptable. Products of different sizes, wall thicknesses, and structures can be customized to meet the assembly requirements of different equipment. The high degree of fit and uniform gaps effectively improve the stability and accuracy of equipment operation.

V. Blank Casting, Laying the Foundation for Product Quality

Casting is the core pre-process in brass bushing manufacturing, with centrifugal casting and metal mold casting being the mainstream methods.

Centrifugal casting is the preferred process. Molten brass alloy is poured into a high-speed rotating mold, and centrifugal force ensures the molten metal adheres evenly to the mold’s inner wall. The resulting blank has a dense structure, free of porosity and looseness, with uniform material density, fundamentally improving the bushing’s strength and wear resistance.

During the casting process, strict control is maintained over melting temperature, rotation speed, and cooling time. Precise control of the alloy composition ratio prevents impurities from entering, ensuring consistent material properties in each batch of blanks and laying a solid foundation for subsequent precision machining.

VI. Quality Inspection, Cleaning, and Packaging: Strict Control of Finished Product Quality

After machining, finished products undergo a comprehensive quality inspection process. Precision equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and hardness testers are used to inspect each bushing for core indicators such as dimensional tolerances, roundness, coaxiality, surface finish, and hardness. Defective products are eliminated to ensure all finished products meet process standards.

A2: Depends on your specific items, within 3-7 days generally.

Q3: What kinds of information do you need for a quote?

A3: Kindly please provide the product drawings in PDF, if provide in STEP or IGS will be better.

Q4: What are the payment terms?

A4: We accept 50% as a payment deposit, when the goods are prepared, we shoot photos or videos for your check, and then you can pay the balance. For small quantities, we accept Paypal, the commission will be added to the order. For big amounts, T/T is preferred.

Q5: How to deliver the goods?

A5: We deliver the products by courier company.

Q6: Are you a trading company or factory?

A6: We are factory direct with 17 experienced engineers and more than 50 employees as well approximate 3,000m2 workshop area.

Q7: What shall we do if we don’t have drawings?

A7: Please send your sample to our factory, then we can copy and provide you better solutions. If send us pictures or drafts with dimensions(Length, Height, Width), CAD or 3D file will be made for you.

Q8: Can we get some samples before mass production?

A8: Absolutely yes.

Q9: Will my drawings be safe after sending them to you?

Q10: Is it possible to know the operation status of my products without visiting your company?

A10: We will offer a detailed production schedule and send weekly reports with digital pictures and videos which show the machining progress.
